One drawback to researching what goes into making the food that we eat everyday is that it makes you look at the food you are already eating and think “is this really food and should I be eating it?”. I’ve noticed in the last year the task of buying groceries has become more stressful and at times more expensive. It has become frustrating to find food items that don’t have a long list of things you can’t pronounce or things you simply shouldn’t eat because it has no real nutritional value to your body. Take something as simple as saltine crackers, when I hear that I expect something that is crispy, slightly salty and otherwise bland, yet you read the ingredients and it includes High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS)… seriously why do crackers need to have HFCS added to it, does it need to be sweet?!

One thing is certain, I will be continuing my research into the common ingredients within  everyday food items to help make better eating decisions and avoid all of the various toxins and GMO’s.
